Things I dont understand?

Yesterday was effectively the worst day ever at work. I know I've only worked there for four months and I'm positive worse things can and WILL happen. Yesterday they decided to lay off a few people to cut some "extra" cost. In this big event they scared the living crap out of everyone in the company (I serious! I've never heard our office so quite) they got rid of a good friend of mine. She was the reason I came to work and could have fun. Now she's gone! I dont understand why her though. I couldn't sleep last night because this was bothering me a lot. She did her job well. She came in on time. She was friendly to everyone. Customers loved her because she had that gentle personality that put everyone at ease (unlike me that fought with every other customer... ) She wasn't the only one that was let go but the others I could come up with plenty of reasons why. Lisa on the other hand was a hard worker and she kept everyone motivated. The only reason I could see was she was the lesser evil. They know everyone else there needs the job and doesn't have any education to get a better job. On the other hand Lisa is well educated and has experience under her belt and could easily get a job making five times the money she did. If this is the reason its a crappy one to say the least but its logical.

To Lisa all I can say is that you will be missed. We made idle jokes about it last night in the office. I can see everyone misses you. Our supervisor which usally is pretty heartless even said he's going to miss her a lot. I can tell he liked her and she kept his spirits up day to day. He usually doesn't show any emotions. A few weeks ago a former employees dad died and he didn't car. He was more annoyed by the fact that it kept some people from working. What is even more scary is one of the people that was let go use to call me "Snuggles". I hated it but now I miss it. She wasn't the best worked but she was a great person and a lot of fun. She will too be missed! My supervisor decided he should take her place and call me snuggles. Slighly creepy but oh well. We are all damaged right now about the events that took place. This has just been a string of events that has been occuring over the last few weeks and I'm not sure it's the last. As for me I'm keeping my options open. I have my resume ready just in the event they decide to get rid of me aswell. Live goes on I guess!

NO WAY did he say he missed me! He must have meant Ms. Banana Puddin!
